According to Russian RT, U.S. Vice President James Vance revealed on Sunday that after the end of the Middle East conflict, the economic force that will contribute the most to the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip will come from Arab countries, and Washington needs to ensure its diplomatic participation to guarantee The terms of the agreement are implemented.
In an interview with Fox News, Wans said Washington’s only commitment to resolving the conflict in Gaza was to be responsible for “supervising the peace process.”
“We are the only person with credibility, especially the President of the United States, who is the only one who can truly convince everyone,” he said, adding that “so the Gulf Arab nations and the Israelis need an independent mediator to determine whether the ceasefire terms are fulfilled and to ensure that the people of Gaza and Israel can effectively comply with the terms of the agreement.”
He also denied reports that Washington would send troops to Gaza, clarifying that “this is not the intention of the president.”“What we’re going to do is to mobilize our troops that have been deployed in the Central Command for years. They will be responsible for overseeing that all parties effectively comply with the terms of the agreement,” he said, adding that some Muslim countries have also proposed to send troops to safeguard Gaza’s security and public order.
When asked who would bear the main responsibility for Gaza's reconstruction, Vance revealed that most of the funds would be provided by Arab countries, and he also expressed confidence that some of the funds would be distributed by Tel Aviv. "In fact, this does not require a large amount of resources from the United States. What we need is continuous supervision and communication at the diplomatic level. This is where our contribution lies, and reconstruction funding will mainly come from the Arab countries of the Gulf." he said.
