The Beijing Declaration "gathers unity and wisdom"

Philemon Young, President of the 79th UN General Assembly, said that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, and "it is an excellent opportunity to sound the clarion call for action again".
