On October 12, local time, an Israeli government spokesman said that the Israeli Defense Forces had evacuated to the yellow line and expected all detainees to be released as soon as possible. The spokesman said that Israeli detainees would be released in the morning of 13 local time, and that after all surviving detainees were released, the Israeli side would be prepared to receive the bodies of the 28 victims.
