According to South Korean media reports on October 12th, British rock star Ian Watkins, who was sentenced for a series of appalling crimes such as sexually assaulting an 11-month-old baby, recently ushered in his bloody end in prison-he died of massive bleeding due to being attacked by other prisoners. According to the British "Sun" reported on October 11th, the bloody case happened in Wakefield Prison in West Yorkshire, which is known as the "Monster Building". And the root of all this goes back to the trial that shocked the world in 2013. Watkins was sentenced to 35 years in prison for a series of "shocking depravity". The list of crimes is heinous: sexual assault of an 11-month-old baby, rape of a child under the age of 13, conspiracy to rape a child, multiple crimes of sexual assault related to children, and production and possession of child obscene materials, even possession of extremely obscene materials involving animals. What makes the public even more angry is that on the second day after the release of Weapons, the last album of his band "Lostprophets", he actually personally filmed the scene of sexual acts against children. His behavior was so bad that even the court denounced it as "depravity" and severely sentenced accordingly.
Watkins was a famous figure in the English orchestra at the beginning of the millennium as the lead singer of the band “Lostprophets”. However, after the band’s crimes were revealed in 2012, the band dissolved instantly, and a generation of stars became a prisoner of the people’s speech.
