Afghan government spokesman Mohammad Mujahid said at a press conference in Kabul on Monday night that in the counter-offensive on the border area of Abbas, 58 people were killed, 30 were wounded, 9 people were killed and 16 were wounded.

Mujahid also said that if anyone violates Afghan territory, the Afghan government and people will respond and defend national sovereignty, but Afghanistan "prefers to resolve all issues through dialogue."
