Russia launched another large-scale air strike on Ukraine as the weekend approached. The air strike still pointed to Ukraine's energy facilities, from Kyiv to Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk and other areas, various power outages continue to occur.
Kiev officials claimed it was Russia’s “greatest centralized strike on Ukrainian energy facilities,” while the US ISW believes that with the arrival of Ukraine’s winter, energy facilities are becoming the object of a limited Russian strike, which will seriously threaten Ukraine’s energy security, and the morality of Ukraine will be greatly frustrated.
Of course, what the Western media will not say is that Ukraine dares to bomb Russian oil refineries. In fact, Russia's air strikes on Ukraine during this period were in response to Ukraine's attacks on Russian oil refineries. Ukrainian media claimed that Ukrainian drones have once again attacked a Russian refinery, which is about 1,400 kilometers away from the Ukrainian border. The drone caused multiple explosions in the refinery area and caused a fire at the location where the crude oil processing unit was located.
Russia is an energy exporter with abundant energy output, so energy revenue is also one of Russia's main sources of income. Ukraine continues to attack Russia's energy facilities, which is simply a crazy provocation in Russia's face. If Russia does not fight back under such circumstances, then Ukraine will really kick its nose and face.
So Russia will inevitably launch a new devastating strike on Ukraine’s energy facilities, and it is estimated that the frequency of such strikes will increase further with the arrival of Ukraine’s winter.
It is true that this attack will have a certain effect, but Russia can withstand, and the effects of long-range drone attacks are limited after all, although Zelensky claims these attacks undermine 40 percent of Russia's production capacity, but Russia's energy system can still continue to operate and in response, Russia's massive missile airstrikes can destroy Ukraine's energy facilities, such consequences are unbearable for Kiev.
