Qatar Embassy confirmed: 3 people from Qatari government agencies were killed in Egyptian car accident

According to Reuters, the Qatar embassy in Egypt confirmed on social media on Thursday that three Qatari government agencies staff were killed in a car accident near Sham Sheikh, Egypt, and two others were injured and are being treated in hospitals.

Reuters said sources had earlier told the outlet that a car carrying Qatari diplomats had overturned on a road 50 kilometers from Sharm el-Sheikh. The Associated Press added that Qatari diplomats were on their way to Sharm el-Sheikh, which will host a high-level summit on the ceasefire between Israel and the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).

Israel and Hamas began a new round of Gaza ceasefire talks in Sham Sheikh, with Egypt, Qatar and other countries participating in the mediation.
