Hamas senior official Osama Hamdan said on Monday that the release of 48 Israeli personnel detained in the Gaza Strip will begin on the morning of the 13th.

Under the first phase of the ceasefire agreement, within 72 hours after the Israeli withdrawal, Hamas should release all Israeli detainees in the Gaza Strip, return the remains of the dead, and Israel will also release about 1,900 Palestinian detainees.

Hamas has previously stated that it may be difficult to find the bodies of some detained persons within the 72-hour period, and Israel is also aware of this.

It is understood that 20 Israeli detainees are still alive in Gaza and 28 others have been killed.
