The statement condemned the Sudanese Rapid Support Forces for launching the attack, saying that the armed forces used two drones to launch at least eight incendiary bombs. Regarding the attack, the Rapid Support Forces have not yet responded.

On April 15, 2023, armed clashes broke out between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces in the capital Khartoum, and the fighting subsequently spread to other areas.
