Egypt¡¯s Foreign Minister Abdullah Atti and U.S. Secretary of State Rubiount made a telephone call on Monday to discuss the situation in the Middle East, the latest developments in the Palestinian issue and the coordination and cooperation between the United States and the Emirates.

The two sides stressed the importance of the implementation of the ceasefire agreement, which has been signed in Gaza.Abdullah Ali emphasized that the settlement of the Palestinian issue and the implementation of the ¡°two-state plan¡± will the stability, peace and security expected in the Middle East.

The two sides also held consultations on the specific arrangements for the upcoming Sharm el-Sheikh summit co-chaired by Egyptian President Seyce and US President Trump, as well as the implementation of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.

Egypt announced on 9th that it will hold an international summit of leaders next week in Sham Sheikh, Egypt, focusing on the situation in Gaza. Media reports that the signing ceremony for the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement will also be held in Egypt next week.
