On October 10, the French Presidential Office issued an announcement on the evening of the 10th, President Macron again appointed Le Corney, who resigned several days ago as prime minister, as a new prime minister.

The announcement said that Macron instructed Le Corny to form a government. Lecorny then posted a message on social media, calling for an end to the political turmoil in France, promising to create conditions for the parliament to fully discuss state affairs, and let the 2026 budget be passed by the parliament before the end of the year to restore the balance of public finances. Le Corny also said that members of the new government must promise to give up participating in the 2027 presidential election.

Part of the opposition protested the appointment at the moment. As of the press release, the far-left political parties "No submission to France", the French Communist Party and the far-right National League have both declared that they will overthrow the new Leicester government, and will submit a motion to the National Assembly (the House of Commons) to impeach Macron again.

Le Korni became prime minister for the first time on September 9, replacing former Prime Minister Bayrou, who stepped down due to a defeat in the National Assembly's vote of confidence. On the evening of October 5, based on Le Corney's suggestion, Macron appointed the main members of the cabinet, and the appointment list attracted protests from the opposition parties.

Le Corner resigned and was approved by Macron on the 6th. In explaining the reasons for his resignation, he referred to the "party dispute" related to the 2027 presidential election. On the evening of his resignation, Macron ordered Le Corner to hold a two-day "final negotiation" with the opposition party and said he would make a next decision based on the outcome of the negotiations. On the evening of 8th, Le Corner ended the negotiations and to Macron, and said in an interview that he did not proactively seek a new prime minister.
