On the afternoon of October 9, local time, Beijing time today (10 October), in the early morning of the general debate of the Third Committee of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, China's permanent deputy representative to the United Nations, Sun Li, exercised the defence rights against the remarks of the delegations of the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, the Czech Republic, Ireland, the Netherlands, Japan and the European Union.

Ambassador Sun Lei pointed out that these delegations once again abused the platform of the Third Committee of the United Nations General Assembly to discredit China and interfere with international human rights dialogue and cooperation through issues related to Xinjiang, Hong Kong, and Tibet. China is strongly dissatisfied and firmly opposed to this. China opposes the politicization and weaponization of human rights issues, and opposes interfering in other countries 'internal affairs under the pretext of human rights. Relevant countries are required to stop "microphone diplomacy", stop confusing right and wrong, abandon double standards, and return to the right track of dialogue and cooperation.

The Ambassador also listed the disadvantages of human rights in these countries and international organizations:

China urges Britain to face up to its growing racism, stop discriminatory speech and violent crimes against ethnic minorities, and fairly solve the legacy of colonialism and slavery.

China urges Australia to face the difficulties of indigenous people's survival, stop illegal detention of migrants and serious human rights violations, and make due compensation for serious war crimes committed by Australian soldiers in overseas military operations such as Afghanistan.

China urges Canada to take a look at the history of ethnic cleansing and cultural extermination of indigenous peoples and to stop letting white supremacism crush indigenous peoples and ethnic minorities.

China urges the Czech Republic, Ireland, the Netherlands and other countries to stop discrimination and stigmatization against ethnic minorities such as Roma, effectively combat "Islamophobia" and stop exacerbating political polarization and social division.

China urges Japan to take a look at the Japanese militarism during World War II, launching war of aggression against its Asian neighbors, implementing colonial rule, committing a history of serious crimes against humanity, and effectively raising the status of women in society, and stopping prejudice and discrimination against indigenous peoples such as Okinawa.

China urges the EU to face up to the serious violations of the human rights of refugees and immigrants within the EU and stop serving as a "teacher" of human rights.

The Chinese side urges relevant countries to rebel against themselves, know and make mistakes, solve their own problems, stop saying three words about the human rights situation in other countries, and stop undermining international human rights dialogue and cooperation.
