The Peruvian Congress held a special plenary session on the evening of the 9th and voted to pass an impeachment motion against President Boruarte and remove him from office.

Boro Alto did not attend the meeting that night. According to Congress regulations, the impeachment of the president requires a minimum of 87 votes.
Peruvian Congress previously held a plenary meeting to vote on whether to accept four impeachment motions against Boluarte one by one. In the end, three motions passed with a vote of 113 in favor and another motion with a vote of 115 in favor, marking the official start of the impeachment process. Since then, the Peruvian Congress decided with 108 votes in favor to speed up the impeachment procedure and approved Boruarte to be present to defend.
This political fluctuation stems from Peru's long-term unstable security situation. On October 8, the famous Kambia band Agua Marina was attacked by an armed attack in a concert hall in Lima, injuring four band members and sparking widespread concerns about public safety across the country. Affected by this, multiple party groups in the Peruvian Congress promoted a motion to recall Boruarte on October 9. (General reporter Hou Jiaqi Wang Lulu)
