US approves military aid, Ukraine does not face, refuses to nominate Trump for Nobel Peace Prize

The United States is preparing to approve aid to Ukraine's Tomahawk missiles. Why did Ukraine refuse to nominate Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize?

In yesterday’s show, we talked that Trump’s pursuit of the Nobel Peace Prize could be said to be an option, and he even pressured ASEAN rotating presidency Malaysia, saying he’t attend the ASEAN Summit if he didn’t host the peace agreement signing ceremony between Thailand and Cambodia.

But even so, Trump is getting farther and farther away from the Nobel Peace Prize.According to the Russian newspaper website on October 8, in the vote of the Supreme Radar (Parliament) of Ukraine on the draft resolution on nominating US President Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, the draft finally won only 132 votes and failed to be passed.

You know, Trump has always regarded promoting Russia-Ukraine peace talks as his most important contribution to peace, but even Ukraine, which has long received American aid, does not agree to nominate him for the Nobel Peace Prize, which is obviously ironic.

It should be pointed out that U.S. military assistance to Ukraine may be further upgraded. Previously, U.S. Vice President Vance revealed that the United States is considering providing Ukraine with "Tomahawk" cruise missiles with a range that can cover the Russian capital Moscow through NATO European member states.

On October 6 local time, Trump further confirmed that he had made some decision on providing Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine. He said he wanted to know what they had done with these Tomahawk missiles or where they had shipped them.

Since the maximum range of the Tomahawk missile exceeds 2000 kilometers, Ukraine can easily hit the heart of Russia by using it and directly threaten Moscow. Therefore, this move immediately aroused a strong reaction from Russia.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has clearly reminded the United States that if the United States supplies Ukraine with “war ax” missiles, it will further damage Russian-US relations, “undermining the dawn of Russian-US relations that has just emerged.”

Putin's press secretary peskov even warned that this would be a serious escalation of the situation, because some models of Tomahawk cruise missiles can carry nuclear warheads.

So from this perspective, Trump’s escalation of military aid to Ukraine is actually aggravating the situation, so Ukraine refuses to nominate him for the Nobel Peace Prize, rather than a more “objective” approach.

Of course, no matter how much Trump boasted about how much he had contributed to peace, or even advocated at the United Nations General Assembly that he had resolved seven wars, in fact, anyone with discerning eyes can see that this figure is seriously exaggerated.

In fact, experts, including those who have studied the Nobel Prize, also believe that the likelihood of Trump winning the prize itself is very low. Historic Stennesson, who has studied and co-authored the writings about the Nobel Peace Prize, pointed out that it is completely unthinkable that Trump won the Nobel Peace Prize because he violated the Nobel Prize representative’s ideas in many ways, including defending multilateral cooperation, the UN framework, and so on.

And the Nobel Peace Prize highlighted the threat of climate change to human peace, but Trump withdrew from the Paris Climate Agreement and promoted fossil energy, which was not accepted by the Nobel Committee.
