On the morning of October 9, at the invitation of the Central Committee of the Korean Labour Party and the Government of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Korea and the Prime Minister of the State Council led the Chinese Party delegation to leave Beijing on a charter plane and to Pyongyang to attend the 80th anniversary celebration of the founding Party of the Korean Labour Party and to make a formal friendly visit to the DPRK. On mid-afternoon on October 9, the local time, the charter plane arrived at Pyongyang International Airport. The Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Korean Labour Party, the Prime Minister of the Cabinet and senior government officials arrived at the airport and held a welcome ceremony for Li.

Chinese State Council Prime Minister Li Jing arrived in North Korea today to participate in the 80th anniversary celebration of the founding of the Korean Labour Party, the first visit of a Chinese prime minister to North Korea since 2009.

"Regarding Premier Li Qiang's visit to North Korea, China has released relevant information, which you can refer to." Guo Jiakun said that China and North Korea are traditional friendly neighbors. Maintaining, consolidating and developing China-North Korea relations has always been the unswerving strategic policy of China's party and government.

This year marks the 80th anniversary of the founding of the DPRK Labour Party, and the Chinese side is willing to take this visit as an opportunity to work with the DPRK to strengthen strategic communication, close exchanges and cooperation, and promote the continuous development of traditional friendship and cooperation between the DPRK and China.
