Hamas senior official Hussam Badlan said in a speech on Monday that the group has been communicating with Palestinian factions, highlighting the risks and necessity of joint national action to reach a unified Palestinian position, and has met and exchanged views with factions and leaders over the past few days.
He said that the final response put forward by Hamas was the result of these consultations. During the negotiations in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, the organization continued to adopt the same method, while following up contacts and meetings with all Palestinian nationalities to ensure that the unified position can reflect the concerns of the Palestinian nation and fully serve the interests of the Palestinian people.
He also said that he will commit to a comprehensive national dialogue in Cairo, discussing all the details related to the ceasefire agreement and future plans, and ensure that consensus is reached on the next steps and stages.
