Reveal Nobel Prize winner Laszlo: obsessed with China and a fan of Li Bai

At 19: 00 Beijing time on October 9th (13: 00 local time in Sweden), the Swedish Academy of Literature announced that the 2025 Nobel Prize for Literature would be awarded to Hungarian writer Laszlo.

According to previous reports, laszlo is a writer with a strong interest in Chinese culture. Yu Zemin, the translator, once recalled that since laszlo went to China as a journalist in 1991, he was deeply infatuated with China. He not only called China "the only remaining humanities museum in the world", but also asked the whole family to eat with chopsticks after returning home. He is particularly infatuated with Tao Te Ching and Li Bai, and Yu Zemin has accompanied him to nearly ten cities in China along Li Bai's footsteps.

In 1985, Laszlo published his first work,"Satanic Tango", which brought him great fame. The work was later adapted into a classic movie of the same name. He has won almost all important Hungarian literary awards such as the Koschut Prize and the Malloy Prize. His works such as "Satanic Tango","Benevolent Relationship" and "Melancholy of Resistance" have been introduced to China for publication. At the beginning of this year, People's Literature Publishing House just published Laszlo's collection of short stories "The World is Moving Forward".
