On the 8th, the US "Political News Network" quoted three unnamed sources as saying that with the assistance of Qatar, the White House drafted an apology letter given by Netanyahu during a tripartite phone call with US President Trump and Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed on September 29th. The report also said that an "influential close ally" of a Qatari prime minister also participated in the call to "ensure that Netanyahu would not publicly deviate from the White House's carefully orchestrated version of events".
