According to TASS news agency on the 9th that the United States may provide Ukraine with "Taxic" cruise missiles, the former high-ranking Russian official Sergei Stepanashen warned that if such missiles are used to strike targets on Russian territory, Russia will shoot them down.
According to the report, Stepashin also said that using the Tomahawk cruise missile against Russia would mean "the United States takes military action against Russia."

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zakharova said at a press conference on October 8 that if the U.S. provided Ukraine with “tactical axis” missiles, it would exacerbate the confrontation and irreversibly damage Russian-US relations.
