The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) issued a statement on October 9 that it had reached an agreement on ending the conflict in Gaza, the withdrawal of Israeli troops from the Gaza Strip, allowing humanitarian aid to enter and exchange personnel, and that Israel's release of Palestinian prisoners was a core priority.

In a statement, Hamas urged the United States and its guarantors, as well as Arab countries and Islamic States, to ensure that ¡°Israel fully complies with the agreement and prevents any act of evasion or delay in its implementation.¡±

The statement said that the Palestinian people will not die in vain, and Hamas will continue to work to defend its national rights until freedom, independence and self-determination are achieved.

In a subsequent statement, Hamas confirmed that the list of Palestinian prisoners had been submitted within the framework of the agreement, according to agreed principles, but that the final list would be published after the relevant procedures were completed.
