Macron commissioned Leclerc to hold a two-day "final negotiation" with the opposition in order to maintain political stability, but the far-right party National Alliance and the far-left party "No France" rejected an invitation to negotiate.

In an interview with two French television stations that evening, Le Corney said that through negotiations with the opposition party, "it is possible to find a way out."
