U.S. President Donald Trump announced in a statement on social media on the evening of 8 October that the Israeli and Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) have agreed on the first phase of the "peace plan" for the Gaza Strip.

Trump said it meant that all Israeli detainees would soon be released and that the Israeli military would also withdraw to the boundaries agreed by both sides ¡°as a first step towards a stable, lasting and lasting peace.¡±

Trump also thanked Qatar, Egypt and Turkey for mediating, saying representatives of these countries worked with the United States to make this ¡°historic¡± event a reality.

Egypt's Cairo News TV later reported that Egypt, Qatar and other mediators announced that the new round of Gaza ceasefire negotiations had reached an agreement covering all provisions and implementation mechanisms for the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, and confirmed that the final version of the agreement is currently under drafting.

Hamas and the Israeli prime ministry issued statements confirming the agreement.

According to the Israeli Times website, the main problem of the Gaza ceasefire negotiations has been solved, and only some procedural content remains to be completed.Israel and Hamas will sign an agreement on 9th, with Israeli detainees expected to be released on 11th.

Earlier on 8th, Trump told media at the White House that given the ¡°very close¡± reach of the Gaza ceasefire negotiations in Egypt, he could travel to the Middle East this weekend.
