Ukraine: Russian attacks have caused widespread power outages, and the thermal power plant of the largest private energy company has been attacked more than 200 times

Xinhua Agency, Kiev, October 8 The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine posted on social media on the 8th that the Russian army attacked energy facilities in northern and central Ukraine that day, causing power outages in many places in Ukraine. DTEK, the largest private energy company in Ukraine, posted on social media that day that a thermal power plant of the company was seriously damaged by an air strike, and the attack also injured two staff members. Since the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the company's thermal power plants have been attacked more than 200 times.

The Ukrainian Air Force said in a social media post on the same day that from late on the 7th to early on the 8th, the Russian Army launched 183 drones from Rostov, Kursk, and Braunschweig. As of 9 a.m. on the 8th, the Ukrainian Air Defense Fire and Electronic War Forces intercepted 154 drones.

Zakharova: If EU transfers frozen assets to Ukraine, Russia will react harshly

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zakharova said on Monday that Russia would take a tough response if the European Union transferred frozen Russian assets to Ukraine.

On September 30 local time, European Commission President Von der Leyen proposed the establishment of a "compensation loan" program linked to frozen Russian overseas assets to provide long-term support to Ukraine.
