Zakharova: If the EU transfers frozen assets to Russia, Russia will react harshly

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zakharova said on Monday that Russia would take a tough response if the European Union transferred frozen Russian assets to Ukraine.

She also said that if the United States provides Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, it will cause irreparable damage to Russia-US relations.

On September 30 local time, European Commission President Von der Leyen proposed the establishment of a "compensation loan" program linked to frozen Russian overseas assets to provide long-term support to Ukraine.

Recently, U.S. Vice President Vance told the media that the United States is considering providing Ukraine with Tomahawk cruise missiles with a range that can cover Moscow, the Russian capital, through the purchase of NATO's European member states. (Headquarters reporter Wang Delu)
