On October 8, local time, Turkish Foreign Minister Feidan met with visiting head of the foreign affairs department of the Syria regime, Hibani, in Ankara, and said at a joint press conference that Israel's attack on Syria is one of the most serious problems Syria is currently facing.
Fidan said the two sides discussed Israeli illegal military operations in Syria in depth and assessed the security situation in southern Syria, especially in the Suveda region. Fidan criticized Israel’s “support of locals” for launching military operations in Suveda, causing a chain response, “which has been a national security issue and we are closely watching.”
Feidan called on all parties to promote the peaceful resolution of differences in good faith and prevent terrorist organizations from infiltrating from the border and creating turmoil. Feidan also urged the international community to fully lift sanctions against Syria. (General reporter Chen Huihui)
