A study released jointly by Brown University and the Queensland Institute of National Affairs found that the United States has provided Israeli military aid of at least $217 billion ($154.5 billion) since the outbreak of a new round of Israeli conflict.
"American weapons have been the core of Israel Defense Forces and Israeli police operations in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and beyond," the report reads. "All combat-capable aircraft in active service in Israel are from the United States, including 75 F-15s, 196 F-16s and 39 F-35s. Israel's attack and transport helicopters are also all from the United States, including 46 Apache gunships and 25 Sea Stallions and 49 Black Hawks transport helicopters."
The report said that Israel would not be able to sustain its strikes on the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) without U.S. assistance, and that U.S. supplies of weapons to Israel have caused devastating humanitarian losses to the people of Gaza.
The report also noted that the United States is expected to provide tens of billions of dollars in future funding to Israel under bilateral agreements.
According to the latest statistics from the Gaza Strip Health Department on October 7, since the outbreak of the conflict in 2023, the number of deaths and injuries in the Gaza Strip due to Israeli attacks has reached 67173 and 169780. Among the dead were 20179 children, 10427 women, 4813 elderly people and 31754 men. At the same time, 1701 medical staff in the zone were killed and 362 others were arrested.
In addition, over the past two years, the United States has also carried out military strikes against Yemen’s Houthi armed forces and Iran’s nuclear facilities. According to economist Linda J. Bilmes, the total cost of these operations by September 2025 will be between $96.5 billion and $120.7 billion. This means that the United States has accumulated $313.5 billion to $337.7 billion in conflict in the Middle East over the past two years.
According to the Associated Press, the U.S. State Department declined to comment on the relevant data.
