The war in the Middle East has lasted for two years, and it happens to be the second anniversary on October 7th. In these two years, we have seen wives and children separated, broken walls and many bloody and cruel scenes. On the occasion of the second anniversary, I also have a lot of feelings in my heart. I would like to share three points with you.
First, it was a massacre war, on October 7, 2023, when Hamas assassinated the territory of Israel, 2,000 people suddenly attacked Israel from three directions from the sea and the air. Israel was quick, and three days did not react at all. At a music festival, young men and women in Israel were singing and dancing, Hamas came and carried out undifferentiated slaughter of them like slaughter of animals.
The conflict in Pakistan
Thro the process, 1219 people were killed in Israel and 256 were taken hostage. Hamas side, 2,000 people came, in addition to 300 with hostages returned to Gaza as originally planned, more than 1,700 others all died in the war without surrendering. From a military perspective, it was a classic storm of the weak against the strong, but from a humanitarian perspective, it was a massacre and even massacre of civilians without distinction.
After the incident, the whole country of Israel was angry and the whole country mourned. Because they haven't faced such a tragedy since the Yom Kippur War in 1973. Israel quickly mobilized to launch a crackdown on Hamas. At first, the international community also believed that Israel had the right to basic self-defense, because it faced the massacre of civilians in peacetime.
But as time passed, as Israel’s struggle against Gaza increased, the international public opinion changed because Israel’s people did not care about Gaza too. Over the two years we can see the data released by the Ministry of Health of Gaza: more than 65,000 people died and 170,000 were injured, more than one-tenth of the entire population of Gaza, or one in every ten people were either killed or wounded, many of whom were women or children. In Gaza, the proportion of child mutilation or injury rates around the world is extremely high.
In addition to the casualties in Gaza, 80% of buildings were destroyed and the living moved again and again. We saw many scenes on TV of them moving with the elderly and supporting the children. Some of them were cars, and the poor drove donkey carts. They live in tents. Gaza is currently short of medical services, which the United Nations defines as a state of famine. This is Israel's tragic situation of civilians in Gaza, and it is also a unilateral massacre.
Secondly, in the context of the entire Middle East, it was a side-by-side war. When Israel revealed its strength, we saw not only that at least 20,000 Hamas fighters were killed, but that in northern Israel, Hezbollah also suffered high-level unity and their power was damaged.
We have all seen this before. Israel installed Trojan horses in Hezbollah's pagers. As a result, four to five thousand drones exploded at one time, injuring many people. Then, through targeted attacks on Hezbollah's General Secretary Nasrallah, the entire Hezbollah high-level group was wiped out and its strength was greatly damaged.
Of course, what we can remember more is Israel's attack on Iran. Israel's strike capabilities can carry out aerial refueling over Tehran. For Israel, the entire Middle East is undefended in the air and can hit wherever it wants. Even Qatar, which has been mediating, suffered a special attack from Israel, targeting top Hamas leaders.
It can be said that Israel has relied on its military and technological advantages to defeat invincible players in the Middle East in the past two years. From Hamas to Hezbollah, from Iran to the Houthis, from Qatar to Syria, no one in the entire Middle East is Israel's rival.
And there is also a mixture of Syrian government shifts, and Israel has so many naval vessels as the Syrian government and weapons if it falls into the hands of the hostile Israeli government what to do. so Israel in Syria when the sky changes, the aircraft launched cannon warships, the Syrian government military vessels have some weapons blasted a scarcity.
Image of the Israeli Army
The third feeling is that this is a war without winners. You may say that Israel is so powerful that it makes the Middle East cry and howl. Why is there no winner? Militarily, there is no doubt that Israel is the winner, and there is no force in the surrounding region that can compete with it. But Israel is facing not only military issues, but also significant diplomatic pressure.
After such a large-scale bombing of Gaza, international public opinion has criticized Israel. Although the good images of Israel as a "country for entrepreneurship" and "hot spot for investment" accumulated over the past few decades cannot be said to have been wiped out, they have also suffered great losses. The diplomatic level is extremely isolated. There are more than 150 countries in the world that have recognized Palestine and the State of Palestine, including the United Kingdom and France.
At the United Nations level, the meeting was mainly held, but also condemned Israel as creating famine, a systematic mass slaughter of a nation in a region since World War II.
The picture shows Netanyahu
Even the International Criminal Court put Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the list of wanted criminals, which he considered to have committed genocide. It made him have to go around for half a day to go to the United Nations meeting, flying more than 600 kilometers to avoid countries that might force his plane to land and arrest him. These countries don't necessarily do this, but they must guard against these risks.
That’s why when he spoke to the United Nations, he spoke with a lot of passion, you see how many opponents we have destroyed, but underneath so many people leave the table and don’t listen to him, and we say “who gets help, who loses help”, the unprecedented isolation of Israel’s diplomacy and the long-term loss of the impact of the ongoing war on his domestic economy.
One bigger problem for Israel is that in their home country, because of Netanyahu, there is actually a splinter of division in the home country. Only one continuous fight, Netanyahu can settle on his throne. Israel so, then Gaza?
Although Hamas is also negotiating with Israel, but the end of Hamas, we can also see that Israel will inevitably get rid of it soon afterwards. Iran is also the target of the strike. So finally see who won? even the United States, although from which the military-industrial system can sell weapons to Israel in large quantities, these military-industrial complexes earn money, but the United States as a whole, also say its image is damaged.
Just like Israel went to fight Qatar, the U.S. military in Qatar also has the largest military base in the Middle East. Qatar said I spent so much money and your U.S. troops are here, you can’t protect my safety, how do you take care.
If there are several winners in this war, then Turkey is taking the opportunity to expand its influence. In the entire Islamic world, it has taken a blow against Israel's toughness. Although it has not taken action, Turkey seems to have taken advantage of it morally.
Pakistan also seems to be a bit cheaper, because it has signed a defense deal with Saudi Arabia, providing Saudi Arabia with a nuclear umbrella, but not a white offer, money to get a big deal.
After the past two years, are Israel's life better than it was two years ago? Are the people of Gaza better off than they were two years ago? Are life better in Jordan and the West Bank than it was two years ago? Are the Iranian people happier? No. This is why we all oppose war, because war brings ruins and ruins, the separation of wives and children, the retrogression of the economy, and the deprivation of life for the people.
This is why we try not to fight a war unless it is absolutely necessary. Once there is some hope for peace, we will try our best to strive for peace, because the war will bring people to death. These are the many lessons that this war in the Middle East has taught us in the past two years.
