Russian President's press secretary Peskov said in Moscow on October 7 that if the relevant parties provide Ukraine with "tacks" cruise missiles, it will trigger a serious escalation of the situation.

According to Russia's Today News Agency, Peskov made the above statement on the same day in response to US President Trump's statement on the 6th that he had made "some decision" on whether to provide Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine. He also said that Russia is currently waiting for a clearer statement on the Tomahawk missile.

Speaking to EU countries recently discussing how to dispose of their frozen Russian assets, Peskov said Russia would take all legal means available to safeguard its interests ¡°to prosecute those who initiate, decide and carry out illegal acts.¡±

Trump said in the White House on Friday that he had already made a "some decision" whether to provide Ukraine with "war ax" missiles, adding that it is necessary to understand how Ukraine intends to use these missiles, "I don't want this war to escalate."
