Two New York girls ordered the roof of the subway, rushed out of the house in the morning in search of excitement, the mother had dissuaded but ineffective

According to local time on October 7 news, a painful accident occurred on the subway track in the Brooklyn district of New York City, two girls were found lying on the top of the train J line, after the emergency arrived, confirming that they were untreated dead.

According to New York police and media reports, the two girls are 12-year-old Zemfira Mukhtarov (who lives in Brooklyn) and 13-year-old Ebba Morina (who lives in Manhattan). The incident occurred at around 3:10 a.m. local time on the 4th. When the subway crossed the Williamsburg Bridge and entered the Marcy Avenue Station, people found the two girls on top of the carriage of the last train.

According to the preliminary judgment of the police, the accident is related to an extremely dangerous social media challenge called "subway surfing", that is, climbing to the top of a running subway vehicle to create a "thrilling picture".

The two girls are not the first to participate in the challenge, and they have repeatedly posted videos showing their “metro surfing”. One video shows Ebba standing on a paddle and a subway highway rushing through from below. And another video shows Zermfeld lying on a train track, a train passing through and looking at it is scary.

Her mother, Nataliya Rudenko, was interviewed after Zeumfila’s unfortunate death, saying she had watched her daughter’s video and had repeatedly warned her not to do those dangerous acts, but the daughter seemed addicted to the attention and pleasure brought by the dangerous behavior.

Natalia said that her family is from Ukraine and moved to the United States 17 years ago. She is very busy at work, so she may lack some attention to her daughter. "Zemfira has always been very lively. She likes playing volleyball and studied violin, but after she came into contact with social media, she seems to be a different person, increasingly seeking excitement in the city, including subway surfing, sneaking into vacant mansions or climbing high-rise buildings."

Natalya also stressed that although she knew the dangerous behavior, she couldn’t lock the child’s room, “I couldn’t get her to stop those behaviors by locking the door in such a way.”

It is reported that Zemfira and Eba, who died with her, have no intersection in real life. They met on social media, and there are about 15 people of similar age in their group.

Although they are all minors, with parents or guardians overseeing them, they coveted out of their homes in the early hours of the morning while their families were asleep.

It is worth noting that in this year alone, five New Yorkers have lost their lives because of "subway surfing". In fact, this challenge is not unique to recent years. People have participated in it as early as the 1980s, but there has been no climate. It is just that with the prosperity of social media, participants have shown a growing trend, and participants are becoming younger and younger.

Since 2023, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, which manages New York's subway, has been broadcasting "Sit in the Car, Live" public service announcements through subway speakers. In addition, the new york Police Department has launched a drone program to provide "real-time aerial surveillance" to help police officers "intervene before stunts have fatal consequences".
