Mr Kablov, the special representative of the Russian president for Afghanistan, said that the Afghan Foreign Minister, Mr Mutaki, firmly stated that the Afghan government will not allow the deployment of any foreign bases on its territory, including the air base in Bagram.

Bagram Air Force Base is located about 50 kilometers north of Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. It is the main base for U.S. and NATO troops in Afghanistan established after the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan in 2001. U.S. President Trump recently claimed that the United States is seeking to "recover" the base and that if Afghanistan does not "return it", it will face serious consequences.

According to the Russian TASS news agency, Kabulov said on the same day that Russia has no plans or plans to deploy military bases in Afghanistan.

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry website, Lavrov noted at the opening speech that the hostile policies of the Western countries continued to cause serious problems to Afghanistan.They still froze Afghan overseas assets and continue to sanction and restrict Afghan banking.Russia once again urged Western countries to revise counter-policy, return their seized assets, bear responsibility for post-war reconstruction of Afghanistan, and compensate for the losses suffered by the Afghan economy and facilities for decades.

Lavrov also said that the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan remains difficult. Russia calls for humanitarian aid to Afghanistan without political conditions, and Russia will increase its aid to Afghanistan.

The seventh meeting of the "Moscow Model" consultations on Afghanistan closed on the same day. The participating countries issued a joint statement emphasizing support for Afghanistan to become an independent, unified and peaceful country and promoting Afghanistan's development of economic and trade exchanges and investment cooperation with other countries.
