On October 7, local time, the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences decided to award the 2025 Nobel Prize in Physics to scientists John Clark, Mike H. Devoret, and John M. Martini in recognition of their "discovery of macro quantum mechanical tunneling effects and energy quantization in circuits."

The winner will receive a prize of 11 million Swedish crowns (approximately RMB 8,36 million).
