The death toll from continued rains in Nepal rises to 51

Xinhua Agency, Kathmandu, October 7 (Reporter Yi Aijun) The Nepal government said on the 7th that continuous rainfall in the country triggered landslides and other disasters. The death toll rose to 51, with another 47 injured and 6 missing.

Nepal's National Disaster Risk Reduction Administration issued a statement on the same day, saying that 38 of the victims died in landslides, 10 in floods and 3 in lightning strikes.

In addition, the Nepalese army issued a statement saying that the military police had rescued 1,337 trapped people in 15 counties.

In most parts of Nepal, continued rainfall began on the 3rd, causing mountainous slopes and floods, causing damage to roads and hydropower plants.
