New York gold futures price reached $4,000

On the evening of the 6th local time, the price of gold futures on the New York Mercantile Exchange once exceeded $4,000 per ounce. According to foreign media reports, this is the first time in the history of New York gold futures prices that they have broken through this barrier. During the Asian trading session on the 7th, the spot gold price in London also hit a new high, once approaching $3,980 per ounce.

Analysts believe that the "shutdown" of the U.S. federal government has triggered a rise in risk aversion and boosted the trend of gold prices. In addition, political changes in countries such as France and Japan have exacerbated investor concerns and pushed gold prices up.
