Central TV reporter local time on October 6 that a previous severe fire at the US aluminum giant Novelis factory in Oswigo, New York, caused its key production areas to burn completely, and is expected to shut down until early next year.

Industry analysts pointed out that the factory supplies about 40% of aluminum plate raw materials to the U.S. automotive industry and is an important supplier to Ford and other automotive companies.

Novellis, headquartered in Atlanta, said the company was evaluating losses and looking for alternative production solutions to mitigate the impact on customers.
