On the evening of October 6, local time, King Abdullah II of Jordan made a regular phone call with the President of the United States, including the progress of the "20-point plan" proposed by the United States to end the conflict in Gaza.
Abdullah II said that an immediate ceasefire and adequate humanitarian assistance must be achieved in the Gaza Strip, stressing the importance of efforts to restore stability in the region and avoid any actions that disrupt the prospects for peace in the region, otherwise the situation in the West Bank and Jerusalem could escalate again.
