January 16, 1906 Radio inventor Popov died

Today, 119 years ago, on January 16, 1906, the inventor of radio Popov died.

He was the first Russian scientist to explore the radio world and struggle for the development of the radio career throughout his life. But because of the feudal contents of Tsarist Russia, his career was not supported by the state. On January 16, 1906, he died of cerebral hemorrhage, and then lived only 47 years. In 1894, because of the Nobel Prize was given only to the living scientists, Popov did not receive this honor.
