Hepatitis A epidemic occurred in Shanghai on January 16, 1988

On January 16, 1988 (the 27th day of the winter lunar month), hepatitis A was prevalent in Shanghai.

The main reason for the epidemic of hepatitis A in Shanghai City is the consumption of unclean clams. The incidence peaked from January to mid-February, and the condition was under control in March.
