Zhou Zuoren (1885 ~ 1967), a modern essayist and poet. Literary translator. Formerly known as Zhashou. The word Xingpao was later renamed Kuixuan. In 1903 he studied naval administration in Jiangnan, and after graduation took official fees to study in Japan. In July 1906 he went to Japan to study naval technology, and then studied foreign languages. After returning to China in 1911, he became a teacher of English at Shaoqiang High School. After the Zhejiang Revolution, he was appointed Director of Military Education, Director of Education, Chairman of the Shaoqiang County Education Council, and Professor of Arts at the University of Beijing in 1917. He participated in the editorial work of New Youth, published important theoretical articles such as "Man's Literature", "Civil Literature", "Thought Revolution", and engaged in prose, new poetry and translation of foreign literary works.

Li Dazhao was killed in April, 1927. He protected Li Dazhao's son Li Baohua from his home for a month. After the September 18th Incident in 1931, I was pessimistic and disappointed with China's future. After the outbreak of War of Resistance against Japan, he took refuge in Japan, became the pseudo-Peking University Literature Dean, the pseudo-North China Administrative Affairs Committee Supervisor of the General Administration of Education, and degenerated into a traitor scholar. He was sentenced to imprisonment for treason in 1945, released from prison in 1949, and then settled in Beijing. He was engaged in translation and writing of Japanese and Greek literary works in People's Literature Publishing House about memories of Lu Xun. Main works: essays, My Own Garden, Books on Rainy Days, Alisma orientalis, Talking about Dragons, Talking about Tigers, poems, Past Life, novels, Orphans, essays, Art and Life, The Origin of Chinese New Literature, History of European Literature, Lu Xun's Hometown, Lu Xun's Youth, and memoirs.

During the 1966 "Cultural Revolution", the shock was caught by the Red Guard soldiers in the bathroom, and on May 7, 1967, the cause of death was unknown, the fire was prompted, the house was destroyed, and the ash box was lost.
