On the 21st, generals Shen Guanghan, Mao Weishou, Qu Shounian, Zhang Yan and others of the 19th Route Army surrendered to the Central Army and separated from the Fujian People's Government by electricity. On the 22nd, Jiang Dingwen, commander-in-chief of the East Route Army, planned to gather the 19th Route Army in Putian, Fuqing, and Hui 'an to wait for reorganization. The battalion commander and above left the army, and the rest were taken into custody. On the 30th, Chiang Kai-shek appointed Mao Weishou and Zhang Yan as the chief and deputy commanders of the Seventh Route Army of the East Route Army to command their troops. The 19th Route Army was officially cancelled, Cai Tingkai and others were forced to flee to Hong Kong, and the Fujian People's Government failed.
