On January 16, 2015, the singer Yao Benna, due to a recurrence of breast cancer, died at the Beijing University Hospital in Shenzhen, before life has decided to donate the cornea of the two eyes.

He began to learn piano at the age of four. Since then, Bella has developed a strong interest in music under the careful cultivation of her parents, and sang on the stage for the first time at the age of nine. During his childhood, he participated in the recording and live singing of many songs, and won many awards in national, provincial and municipal singing competitions.

In September 1997, he was admitted to the Affiliated Middle School of Wuhan Conservatory of Music with excellent results. He studied under his father, Associate Professor Yao Feng, and began to systematically study vocal music. During his school, he won the second place in popular singing in the professional group of the Hubei Division of the 8th Big Red Eagle Cup National Young Singer TV Grand Prix, and went to Beijing to participate in the finals to win the screen award.

In the second half of 1998, he studied national vocal music under Professor Feng Jiahui and fully devoted himself to learning and artistic practice.

In September 2000, he was admitted to the vocal music department of the Chinese Academy of Music, and the vocal vocal level was greatly improved.

In April 2005, he starred in the first large-scale original musical "Jinsha" produced by San Bao. In 2008, he won the gold medal in popular singing in the 13th CCTV Young Singer TV Grand Prix, becoming the first 100-point champion in the history of the Youth Song Competition; in the same year, he participated in the Beijing Olympics Closing Ceremony Singing. In June 2012, he released his debut album "Little Hair". In the same year, he sang the theme song "The Legend of Zhen Huan""The Theme Song of the Red Beauty" and all the interludes in the play, sang the promotional song "Painting Love" for the movie "Painted Skin 2", and sang the theme song "The River of Life" for Feng Xiaogang's movie "1942". In 2014, he sang the theme song "Let It Be" of the Oscar animation "Frozen".

In March 2013, he served as the judge of the semi-finals of the 15th CCTV Young Singer TV Grand Prix. In July, I participated in the program "The Voice of China" and won four tutors to turn around with a song "Maybe Tomorrow". Release EP "1/2 of Me" in December. In 2014, he appeared on CCTV Spring Festival Evening of the Year of the Horse and sang the song "Tianyao China", which was voted as his favorite program by the audience. On January 16, 2015, Yao Beina passed away from Peking University Shenzhen Hospital due to recurrence of breast cancer. She had decided to donate her corneas before her death. On January 18, the organizing committee of the 15th BrightStor Awards held a special commemorative session to retain the trophy of China's Most Popular Singer of the Year for Yao Beina. On February 14, he was elected as the first person of the year that moved Jiangcheng in 2014. On April 9, the International Astronomical Union published an asteroid bulletin stating that asteroid No. 41981 was named Yao Beina Star.

Bella suffered from breast cancer in 2011, and underwent mastectomy and plastic reconstruction surgery. The operation lasted for 8 hours. After chemotherapy, her body recovered. In December 2014, Bella was hospitalized.

On December 26, 2014, he was admitted to the special clinic of the hospital, the condition suddenly deteriorated, and after the diagnosis, cancer cells have been transferred to the brain and lungs, the situation is not very optimistic.

In January 2015, due to worsening breast cancer, he was treated in Icu (intensive care unit) of Peking University Shenzhen Hospital. On the morning of January 8, her parents signed a volunteer for Yao Beina's corneal donation. At 16:55 pm on January 16, he died of breast cancer recurrence at Peking University Shenzhen Hospital. He was only 33 years old.

At 19: 30 on January 16th, 2015, the doctor started the corneal removal operation for Bella, which lasted for 5 minutes. At 19: 35, after the operation, the doctor told the media that Bella's cornea was very transparent. Her cornea will be donated to two recipients in Shenzhen and Chengdu. She became the 694th cornea donor in Shenzhen. Her cornea has successfully treated 3 people, and the remaining cornea can help 4 people. At 9: 30am on January 20th, the farewell party of Bella's body was held in the auditorium of Shenzhen Funeral Home.
