On January 16, 1993 (the 24th day of the twelfth lunar month), the Jiangxi Jiujiang Yangtze River Bridge was completed.

Jiujiang Yangtze River Bridge is a double-decker and double-track railway and highway bridge. Its railway bridge is 7,675 meters long, 900 meters longer than Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge, and its pier span is 216 meters. At that time, it ranked third among similar bridges in the world. Jiujiang Yangtze River Bridge has successively won the "Luban" Award of National Quality Project and the first prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award.
