Polish court extends detention of suspect in North Stream bombing for 40 days

On October 6 local time, the Polish district court in Warsaw will suspect the bombing of the "North Stream" pipeline in Volodymyr.Detention period extended by 40 daysThe suspect was sought under a European arrest warrant issued by a German court.

The lawyer of the suspect said: “The court did not agree to the prosecutor’s request for a maximum of 100 days in custody, but instead ordered a temporary arrest of 40 days.”

Currently, the suspect claims that he had nothing to do with the bombing and that he was in Ukraine at the time of the incident.

On October 1, local time, Warsaw District Court Judge Anna Vergolievskaya announced that the court had approved the prosecution’s request to carry out a seven-day interim arrest of Ukrainian man Volodymyr, suspected of involvement in the explosion of the Nord Stream gas pipeline.
