In Myanmar today, the ongoing political turmoil not only reshapes the map of power, but also quietly fosters a silent horror: sexual violence is spreading at an unprecedented rate, and women and children are victims of silence.
In the southern province of Burma, in the eastern town of Edaya, a 35-year-old woman was brutally murdered, even after her body was burned, and the murderer has been arrested by the police.
Allegedly, on the morning of October 2, the burned body of the woman was found in an uninhabited shed near the bell tower on the industrial zone section of the Adaya sub-town. After that, the Adaya police immediately launched an investigation and successfully arrested the murderer.
According to the investigation, the dead woman was Mi Jiang (35 years old) who lived in the 8th district. More than a decade ago, she was brutally raped by a friend of Moomindu (43 years old) who lived in the Riyadh district of East Riyadh, and was then beaten to death by a man with a headshot. In order to hide the crime, the man also sprayed gasoline and alcohol on the body and then lit the fire and destroyed it.
At present, the police have launched an investigation.
