Iran says there is no plan for a new round of negotiations, will maintain dialogue with the International Atomic Energy Agency

On October 6, local time, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Baghdadi said at a press conference:As far as the Iranian nuclear issue is concerned, there are currently no new negotiating plans.

He said Iran’s current focus was on evaluating the impact and consequences of recent actions by Britain, France, Germany and the United States, while diplomatic activities in the form of continued contacts and consultations continued.

Bahá'í criticized Britain, France and Germany's "irresponsible and destructive" behavior over the past three months, accusing them of abusing the dispute settlement mechanisms in the Iranian nuclear deal and imposing U.S. demands on the UN Security Council.Iran still decided to continue to maintain dialogue with the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Bagae said that Iran will not hesitate to use all necessary diplomatic and other means to prove the legitimacy of its position, and urged the international community not to accept or recognize the impact and consequences of this illegal action.

The Iranian nuclear deal's participants, Britain, France and Germany, informed the UN Security Council on August 28th that they started the "quick restoration of sanctions" mechanism on the grounds that Iran violated the nuclear deal. On September 26th, the Security Council voted on a draft of Security Council Resolution 2231 aimed at extending the 2015 comprehensive agreement on the Iranian nuclear issue and approving the agreement. The draft resolution was not adopted.

On September 28, the Office of the Secretary-General’s spokesman confirmed that, in accordance with relevant provisions of Security Council Resolution 2231 on Iran, six previously adopted sanctions resolutions relating to Iran were reintroduced in force from 8 p.m. on September 27, U.S. East Time.
