On the morning of October 4, local time, two children were killed and two seriously injured in a shooting in the city of Angeton near Houston, Texas. The police said on October 5, local time, that the suspect in the case was the mother of the four children, 31-year-old Oninda Romellus. Police said the suspect was Romellus himself. Police arrived and saw four children in the car, including a 3-year-old girl (previously as 4-year-old) and a 13-year-old boy, and an 8-year-old boy and a 9-year-old girl seriously injured. Police said, ¡°There is reason to believe that the tragedy happened inside the car, and the gunman was the mother of the children, Romellus.¡±

Romelles has been arrested and charged with two counts of murder and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Her total bail was set at $14 million.

Angerton is a city of about 19,500 inhabitants and is the seat of the county government of Brazoria County. It is located approximately 72 kilometers south of Houston, within the Houston-Woodlands-Schugland metropolitan area.
