Hamas and Israel are scheduled to start indirect negotiations in Egypt on the 6th on the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the initial withdrawal of Israeli troops in the "20-point plan" proposed by the United States. Hamas sources told Saudi Oriental TV that the conditions for implementing the exchange of detainees between the two sides include: a comprehensive ceasefire; the withdrawal of Israeli troops to their positions during the implementation of the last ceasefire agreement reached in January this year; and the Israeli army grounded fighter jets and drones for 10 hours every day, and extended the grounding time to 12 hours on the day of release.

Negotiations could last a week or longer, the source said, and Hamas will demand that these measures be implemented throughout the negotiations.

Several Hamas officials revealed that the negotiations will also discuss criteria for the release of Palestinian prisoners. Hamas insists on determining the release list based on the number of years served and the age of prisoners, that is, based on the chronological order of arrest and the age of prisoners.
