Turkish activist Muhammad Emin Yildirim mentioned that Israel¡¯s far-right national security minister, Ben-Gewil, had visited the detention site but was humiliated in the face of the detainees. Yildirim said: ¡°People told him that they were terrorists. The real terrorists were those who committed genocide in Gaza. So Ben-Gewil had to leave, embarrassed and angry, but nothing to say.¡±

According to reports, Swedish Foreign Ministry officials recently visited Tumberi, who is being detained, and wrote a letter to Tumberi's relatives to inform her of the situation. According to the letter seen by the Guardian, Tumberi said that she was detained in a cell filled with garbage, food and water shortages.

¡°The embassy has been able to meet with Tumberi,¡± the mail wrote, ¡°she dehydration. Her drinking water and food was insufficient. She also said she had rashes and she suspected it was caused by insects. She talked about harsh treatment and said she was sitting on hard ground for a long time.¡±

The letter also stated that Tombayri was asked by the Israeli authorities to sign a document, but she refused.

The Swedish Foreign Ministry said that its embassy officials visited nine detained Swedes on the 3rd. The Italian legal team representing the flotilla also confirmed that the detainees were "without food or water for hours" and reported instances of verbal and physical abuse of them by Israelis.
