According to the Middle East newspaper,A Hamas negotiating delegation led by senior Hamas official Khalil Haya will arrive in Cairo, the capital of Egypt, on October 5, preparing for indirect negotiations with Israel on October 6.

According to the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, Israel and Hamas will discuss on-site conditions and detailed arrangements for the exchange of personnel around the "20-point plan" proposed by U.S. President Trump.

Israeli media previously quoted a senior Israeli official as saying that if the negotiations go smoothly, the Israeli detainees may be released "within a few days." Israeli media also said that Israel has begun to prepare a list of Palestinians in custody, and the people on this list may be used to exchange Israeli detainees.
