Heavy rainfall and floods in Thailand have killed 12 people in many parts of the country and affected hundreds of thousands of people

Thailand's disaster prevention and reduction agency released the latest notification on May 5 that 16 provinces across the country were affected by heavy rains and floods, which has caused 12 people to die, 3 people to disappear, and more than 34,000 people to suffer from disasters.

In Ayutthaya, many tourist attractions, including the ruins of the ancient city of Ayutthaya, have stopped operating.
