After years of restoration, the mausoleum of ancient Egyptian Pharaoh Amenhotep III was officially opened to tourists for the first time on October 4th, local time. The history of this mausoleum can be traced back to more than 3,000 years ago, and the murals inside the tomb are particularly exquisite. It is one of the largest mausoleums in the Valley of Kings.

According to reports, this mausoleum was first recorded during Napoleon's expedition to Egypt in 1799. After archaeological excavations of the tomb were carried out by France and Britain in 1799 and 1915 respectively, most of the cultural relics in the tomb were lost overseas. According to officials from the Egyptian cultural relics department, the restoration work lasted about 20 years.
